Historically, local and regional adventurer's guilds operated independently with little oversight, frequently sending young, inexperienced teenagers on high-risk combat and extraction missions that resulted in premature deaths.

Viewing this traditional cycle as both morally bankrupt and economically unsustainable, the founding silver-rank members began a systematic process of consolidation. They acquired and dissolved independent local guilds, replacing them with a unified franchise network. To protect prospective recruits, the founders implemented:

The Monster Extermination Division of the Castalia Mercenary Company operates as a fully registered, certified branch under this franchise, allowing Castalia to legally clear local pests, rats, and minor monsters (such as goblins and gnolls) in Ardenia under the Association's safety guidelines.
